This case study examined how YouTube Reels-a fast-paced, highly stimulating form of social media-affects a young child's cognitive and social development. Interviews and observations showed mixed outcomes: the clips spark creativity and early metacognitive thinking, yet can also encourage rude behavior and shorten attention spans. The authors recommend limiting screen time and balancing it with outdoor play and family activities to support healthier growth.
