The development of a child is hardly influenced by the environment that the child is currently in. All aspects of the development of the child were shaped through a consistent support and guide given by the people in the said environment. As stated by Urie Bronfenbrenner in his theory entitled “Ecological System Theory” , different environments directly impact the development of a child which shapes their personality. This study serves as an initial investigation of how different environmental setups influence the development of a child and shapes its behavior. In addition this study seeks to find the relation between the environment and the behavior of a child in different aspects of their lives such as physical, mental, and emotional.
This study utilises an exploratory research design. This study was conducted using interview sessions and observation conducted in the span of seven days. The interview was used as a reference to how the child behaves before being exposed to a new environment. Findings from the observation conducted shows that the environment that the child is exposed to contributed to how the child behaves and presents himself to others.
