This mixed-method study assessed the competency level of Grade 6 learners on food preparation tools (FPTs) as integral teaching aids in Home Economics education. Using a descriptive-survey design with a 60-item skill test (identification and classification) and three openended questions, the research collected data from learners at San Guillermo Elementary School. Based on the findings, it's recommended that teachers and parents engage both male and female learners in comprehensive, hands-on kitchen activities that progress from conceptual understanding to practical proficiency. Recommendations emphasize the need for demonstrations, experiential learning, and well-equipped kitchen laboratories to ensure mastery of FPTs, cooking, and food safety principles
